Whilst working at the Scottish Arts Council in Edinburgh, Kerry designed and produced this celebratory booklet commemorating 10 years of the Council’s support for crafts in Scotland. To enhance the special nature of the piece, production elements included premium uncoated stock, bronze-gold metallic print, front and back cover fold-out sections and a cover emboss feature. The booklet was presented in a tailored case with spot UV logo application.

Craft-makers from around Scotland who had received arts council funding were invited to participate in the commemorative project and were asked to submit images of their work. The images shortlisted for inclusion in the booklet represented the wide range of stunning work that had been produced and covered a variety of disciplines and skills.

The booklet style was developed to highlight each artwork shown, in a format that was complementary to all. Use of gold-bronze metallic ink on thick, uncoated paper stock gave the publication a tactile and softened feel that mirrored many of the natural materials used in the artworks. The soft glistening of the metallic ink and the condensed size of the booklet enhanced the feeling of preciousness – reminiscent of the crafts contained in the book, pieces to cherish and treasure.
